Trane Air Handlers

The fan
motor inside Trane's variable speed air
handler is designed to vary its speed,
based on your home's heating and cooling
requirements. That's the beauty of the
variable speed technology - and when
matched with any of Trane's XLi series
of outdoor units, it gives you a level
of comfort you've never experienced
before and saves energy in the process.

Your central air conditioning system
consists of two main parts-an outdoor
unit and an indoor unit. The air handler
is the indoor unit, which includes a
coil and an air blower. Its job is to
circulate conditioned air throughout
your home. When paired with an air
conditioner, it circulates cool air
through your house during the summer
months. When matched with a heat pump,
it works all year long, circulating cool
air in the summer and warm air in the
winter. It is important to note that the
air handler makes a tremendous
contribution to the overall efficiency
of your system.

can be easily installed over a hot water
heater, or in a basement or attic. But
regardless of its size, it still offers
efficient performance and quiet
operation. The 2TF family also includes
a variable-speed model for humidity
control and enhanced comfort.
